For accountants

List your practice on Owoode

Owoode is a free invoice, payslip and tax-guide site with an edition for each country. Small businesses arrive here with a tax question; some of them need a person to answer it. A listing puts you in front of them, after we have checked your credential.

From application to listing

  1. Apply with your member or licence number

  2. We check it with your professional body

  3. You accept the terms by email

  4. We send an invoice with a payment link

  5. Your card goes live once it is paid

Who will see your listing

People who used a VAT calculator, an invoice generator or a guide to their country’s tax rules. We do not quote a visitor number we cannot show you. Your country’s directory page opens once 5 checked accountants there have joined; until then, applying reserves a founding place.

Two tiers, paid yearly

  • How you pay: once we have checked your credential and you have accepted the terms by email, we send an invoice with a payment link. The listing goes live when it is paid. A renewal invoice comes a month before the year ends; if it is not paid, the listing comes down 7 days after the end date.
  • A year you have paid for keeps its price. Prices for new years may change, and we tell you before your renewal invoice. The full terms are on the directory terms page.

How we check your credential

Each country works differently, so the check follows whatever your professional body makes available. Bodies not shown here are welcome: choose Other on the form. ACCA members anywhere can be found in ACCA’s firm search, which supports a listing but does not replace a local licence.

  • ICANInstitute of Chartered Accountants of NigeriaCertificate and photo IDICAN publishes no lookup we could find, so we ask for your current practising licence and photo ID and confirm with ICAN by email.
  • ANANAssociation of National Accountants of NigeriaCertificate and photo IDANAN has no public member search, so a current practising licence and photo ID are required, and we write to ANAN to confirm.
  • CITNChartered Institute of Taxation of NigeriaPublished listCITN publishes a dated list of tax practitioners in good standing; we match your name against the latest one.

The rules

  • We never sell leads. Clients contact you directly through your own WhatsApp, email or website.
  • We never rank by payment within a tier. Featured sits above Listed; inside each, the order rotates every day.
  • We re-check your credential every 12 months, and sooner if your body’s list changes.
  • Every listing carries a “Report a problem” link that comes to us.
  • Without a protected title you are listed for bookkeeping and tax support, not as a chartered accountant.

Questions accountants ask

How often do I pay?
Once a year, by invoice, in naira: ₦75,000 for Listed or ₦200,000 for Featured. After we have checked your credential and you have accepted the terms by email, we send an invoice with a payment link, and the listing goes live when it is paid. There is no monthly plan.
How do you check my credential?
We use whatever your professional body (ICAN, ANAN or CITN) makes available in Nigeria: a public register, a published list of members, or your practising certificate and photo ID. The check is repeated every 12 months; a listing whose check is more than a year old comes down until it is redone. ICAN publishes no lookup we could find, so we ask for your current practising licence and photo ID and confirm with ICAN by email. ANAN has no public member search, so a current practising licence and photo ID are required, and we write to ANAN to confirm. CITN publishes a dated list of tax practitioners in good standing; we match your name against the latest one.
What does the “Ad” label mean?
Featured cards sit above Listed ones and always carry an “Ad” label, so readers know the position was paid for. There are at most 3 per country, and inside each tier the order rotates every day.
Do you sell leads or charge per client?
No. Clients contact you directly through your own WhatsApp, email or website. We never sell your details and never charge per enquiry.
What happens when my year ends?
A renewal invoice comes about a month before the end date. If it is not paid, the listing comes down 7 days after the end date. A year you have paid for keeps its price.
Is there a founding offer?
Yes. The first 10 accountants accepted in Nigeria get 3 extra months on their first year. The directory page in Nigeria opens once 5 checked accountants have joined, and your paid year starts on the day it goes live.

Not in Nigeria? Choose your country
