Help
Short answers to the questions people ask. If yours is not here, the form at the bottom reaches a person at hello@ereqa.net.
The basics
- Is everything really free?
- Yes. Every generator and calculator is free with no watermark and no sign-up. The bank statement converter is free for the first conversion on a device and asks for an email after that.
- Is anything I type uploaded?
- No. PDFs, Excel files and calculations are produced in your browser. Your business and bank details are remembered on your own device only, so the next document is faster. The one thing that leaves your browser is an email address if you choose to give one.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There are no accounts on this site. When you want a document kept, tracked and matched to its payment, that is what ereQa is for.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes. Every page is built for a phone first. PDFs download to your phone and the WhatsApp share opens the chat directly.
Documents
- Which document do I need?
- Quotation before the work, to agree a price. Proforma invoice when you need a deposit or an import document. Invoice when the work is done. Credit note to reduce an invoice already sent. Purchase order (LPO) when you are the one buying. Waybill to travel with goods. All six are on the tools page and defined in the glossary.
- Why is my business name already filled in?
- You typed it on this device before. It is stored in your browser only. Clear it by clearing the fields or your browser's site data.
- The โฆ sign shows as a box in my PDF.
- It should not: the PDF embeds a font with the naira sign. If you see a box, your PDF viewer is substituting fonts; open the file in another viewer or a browser.
- How does Share on WhatsApp work?
- It opens a WhatsApp chat to the client's number with a summary of the document already typed. Attach the PDF you downloaded. Nothing is sent through this site.
- Can I add my logo?
- Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG in the business details section of any generator; it prints at the top of the PDF and stays on your device. The Word template also takes a logo in Word.
Tax figures
- Are the rates current?
- Every page shows a last-reviewed date and the how we calculate page lists the formula and source for each figure. When a rate changes, the changelog records it.
- The calculator gives a different PAYE from my payslip.
- Usually one of three things: your payroll still uses the pre-2026 bands, your pension is on a different share of gross, or you claimed rent relief and payroll did not. Adjust the inputs; if it still differs, ask payroll which bands they use.
- Is this tax advice?
- No. The tools apply the published rules to the numbers you type. Your circumstances may differ; confirm with a qualified adviser or the NRS before filing.
Bank statements
- My statement did not convert.
- Scanned or image-only PDFs cannot be read yet; the converter needs the text layer the bank app produces. If the PDF is text and still fails, send us the bank name and the first page layout (not the file) and we will add the format.
- What does the reconciled percentage mean?
- Each row is checked: previous balance plus credit minus debit must equal the new balance. 100% means every row passed. Rows that fail are highlighted so you can check them against the PDF.
- Do you see my statement?
- No. The PDF is opened in your browser and never sent anywhere. The password, if the bank set one, is used on your device only.
