Editorial policy
What we publish, how it is checked, who is responsible, and what happens when we get something wrong.
- Updated September 2026
Scope
Owoode publishes tools and guides about Nigerian business paperwork and the taxes around it. It does not publish advice about any reader's individual position. Every page that states a rate, threshold or date says which law or regulation it comes from.
Sources
Primary sources first: the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, the Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025, the Deduction of Tax at Source (Withholding) Regulations 2024, Nigeria Revenue Service notices, the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 and Corporate Affairs Commission publications. Professional summaries from the large accounting firms are used to cross-check, never as the only source. Where a point is unresolved in law, such as the two small-company turnover thresholds, the page says so rather than picking one.
Who writes and who reviews
Content is drafted by the ereQa team with software assistance and checked line by line by a person against the sources above before publication. A named reviewer with professional credentials will be listed here at launch; until then the team is responsible.
Review cycle
Every figure lives in one file and carries a last-reviewed date. We re-check quarterly and within a week of any law, regulation or NRS notice that changes a rate. The date on each page is the date of the last check, not the date of the last edit.
Corrections
Write to hello@ereqa.net or use the contact form. Confirmed errors are fixed on the page, dated in the changelog, and, where the error affected a calculation, called out on the calculator page for thirty days.
Independence
The site is free and funded by ereQa. Tools link to ereQa as the place to keep documents; no page recommends a product because of a payment, and no content is sponsored.
What we will not publish
Receipt or alert generators, account statement makers, content whose purpose is to evade tax, and listicles written for traffic rather than for a reader with a task.
