Twenty-three more markets checked against the statute, and honest indexing
- Germany, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium now carry their own figures: registration thresholds, the small-business schemes, and the e-invoicing dates. The Dutch KOR no longer states a three-year commitment, which was abolished on 1 January 2025, and the German mandate has one €800,000 threshold rather than the tiers repeated in most summaries.
- Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan the same. Qatar and Kuwait say plainly that no VAT law is in force — Qatar has published none, and Kuwait signed the GCC framework in 2017 without ever passing the enabling law. Oman's e-invoicing roadmap was replaced in August 2026 and nothing is compulsory there before April 2027.
- Jordan's two registration thresholds, JOD 75,000 and JOD 30,000, are both real: they differ by activity, and the lower one governs a business that does both. JoFotara clearance has been compulsory since 1 April 2025, and an invoice issued outside it is not valid for tax. The late-payment penalty is 0.4% a week; the authority's own English translation misprints it as 0.04%.
- Asia next: Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Japan's transitional deduction for buying from an unregistered supplier does not fall to 50% this October, as almost every source says and as the National Tax Agency's own English leaflet still prints — the March 2026 reform extended it, so it becomes 70%. China's small-scale levy is 1% until the end of 2027, not 3%, and nothing at all below RMB 100,000 of sales a month. Malaysia's e-Invoice exemption floor rose from RM1 million to RM3 million on 1 September 2026.
- The Americas: Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. Argentina's factura M was abolished in December 2025 and replaced by a class A invoice carrying a withholding legend. Peru's 18% is now 15,5% IGV plus 2,5% municipal promotion tax, and the split moves every year to 2029 while the total stays put. Trinidad and Tobago's VAT threshold has been TT$600,000 since 2023, though the Ministry of Finance's own pages and line 18 of the registration form still print $500,000.
- Corrected along the way: Vietnam's tax authority, which the site still named as a body dissolved in March 2025; Thailand's 7%, which is a reduction renewed by decree and now runs to September 2027; and Indonesia's 12% rate, which applies to a base of eleven twelfths of the price and so charges at 11%. Vietnam's entry carries a review notice: the decree behind its new thresholds could not be read at source.
- Malaysia's guide no longer credits the Customs Department with issuing the tax number. Customs collects the sales and service tax; the number, e-Filing and MyInvois belong to the Inland Revenue Board.
- The purchase order, credit note and waybill pages in each country edition now point search engines at that edition's invoice generator. They were the same builder and the same guidance five times over, and Google had already declined to index them. The pages themselves are unchanged and still free to use.
- Switching country from a page the other edition does not have now lands on that country's home page instead of a missing one. The identifier checker exists in fifteen editions, and the menu was offering it in all ninety-seven.
