How it works

  1. 01

    Sender and receiver

Your business and the person or company taking delivery, with a phone number the driver can call.

  2. 02

    Driver, vehicle and address

Name and phone of the driver or rider, the vehicle and its plate, and the delivery address.

  3. 03

    List the goods

Each item or carton with a quantity. No prices; a waybill proves what moved, the invoice says what it cost.

  4. 04

    Two signatures

Handed over by, and received in good condition by. The signed copy is your evidence when a delivery is disputed.

What makes it different

Made for Nigerian deliveries

Waybill is the word Nigerian traders, logistics firms and market suppliers use. Rider, vehicle plate and phone numbers are on the document.

Links to the invoice

Carries the invoice or LPO number so the receiver, the driver and your books all agree which order this is.

Quantities, not prices

The driver and the receiver do not need to see what the goods cost. The waybill lists what is in the vehicle.

Questions people ask

What is a waybill?
The document that travels with goods: who sent them, who receives them, what and how many, who is carrying them, and a line for the receiver to sign that everything arrived in good condition. In Nigeria it is the word used by traders, logistics companies and market suppliers; elsewhere it is a delivery note or packing slip.
What should a waybill contain?
A waybill number, the date, sender and receiver with phone numbers, the delivery address, the driver or rider and vehicle, each item with a quantity, the invoice or purchase order number it relates to, and signature lines for hand-over and receipt.
Does a waybill show prices?
Usually not. The driver and the receiving clerk need quantities, not costs. Prices are on the invoice. This generator lists items and quantities only.
Is a signed waybill proof of delivery?
Yes. The receiver's signature on the received-in-good-condition line is the evidence you rely on when a client says the goods never came or came short. Keep the signed copy with the invoice.
Can I use this as a delivery note for a purchase order?
Yes. Enter the LPO number in the reference field so the buyer's receiving clerk can match the delivery to their order.
Do I need a waybill for dispatch riders and interstate haulage?
One per delivery. Interstate carriers and many estates and offices will not accept goods without one, and a numbered waybill on each trip is how logistics businesses invoice per trip without disputes.
