Accountant directory

Accountants whose credentials we checked

You found a tax guide or an invoice tool here, and now the job needs a person. This directory lists accountants and tax practitioners only after we have matched their name and number with the professional body that licenses them.

Countries open now

None yet. The directory opens one country at a time, once 5 checked accountants there have signed up, so that a page is never a list of two names padded out with filler. If you practise and want your country to open sooner, apply to be listed.

Where a public register exists

Kenya, Uganda and the UK bodies run searches anyone can use. We look the applicant up one at a time, by number where that is how the search works, and keep the date of the check.

Where the body publishes a list

Ghana, Zambia, Botswana and Tanzania publish dated lists of members in good standing, often as PDFs. We match the name exactly, note which edition of the list we used, and look again when a new one appears.

Where there is nothing to search

For ICAN and ANAN in Nigeria and the Orders in several francophone countries we found no public lookup. We ask for a current practising certificate and photo ID, and write to the body where it will answer.

What we never do

  • Sell your details, or anyone’s, as leads. You contact the accountant directly; we are not in the conversation.
  • Rank by payment inside a group. Paid Featured listings sit above the rest, up to 3 per country, and every one carries an “Ad” label. Within each group the order rotates daily.
  • List anyone on their word alone. No credential check, no listing; and a check more than twelve months old takes the listing down until it is redone.
  • Keep a listing up after it lapses. It disappears 7 days after the paid period ends.
  • Call a bookkeeper a chartered accountant. People without a protected title are listed for bookkeeping and tax support only.

Every listing has a “Report a problem” link. Use it if a number does not match the register or an accountant is not who they say.

Are you an accountant?

Listings are paid yearly, priced by country, and the first accountants in each country get three extra months.
