Privacy
Short, because there is little to say: your documents never leave your device, analytics follow the rules of the country you are in, and we only keep what you type into a form.

Who we are
Owoode is run by ereQa Technologies Ltd, 14 Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, which is the data controller for the information described on this page. Questions about your data go to support@owoode.com.
What we do not collect
Invoices, proformas and calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser. The PDF is generated on your device. No document, name, amount, TIN, CAC number or bank detail is sent to our servers.
What stays on your device
To save you retyping, the invoice generator stores your business details, bank details and any invoice you park with Save to ereQa in your browser's local storage. That data is on your device only. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
What we collect
If you fill in a form (contact, help, newsletter or an accountant application), we receive what you typed, which form it came from and the date, together with the country your IP address points to and, if it is stored on your device, where you first came from (see the table below). The form is delivered to us as a Telegram message and by email through Resend, and newsletter addresses are kept in Resend's mailing list. We use it to answer you, send what you asked for and, if you opted in, occasional updates about new tools. We do not sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time at support@owoode.com.
Payments and Pro accounts
Owoode Pro is sold by ereQa Technologies Ltd. If you buy it, the payment is handled by a payment processor, never by us: Polar, as merchant of record, for card payments, and Bani or Paystack for payments in naira and other local methods. Your card number, bank account and billing details go to that processor under its own privacy policy and do not reach Owoode.
For a Pro account we keep your email address, your plan, the date it is paid until, the processor's reference for each payment, and a list of the devices signed in to the account (when each signed in and the browser it used), which is how the three-device limit works. We use these only to switch Pro on, answer you about a payment and handle refunds. Your documents stay on your device exactly as they do on the free tools; Pro does not upload them.
You can ask us to close your account and delete this record at any time at support@owoode.com. Payment records that tax law requires the seller or the processor to keep are kept for as long as that law requires, and no longer.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no advertising cookies and shows no adverts. Google's advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are switched off for everyone, whatever you choose. Nothing you type into a generator or calculator is part of any analytics: those figures are worked out in your browser and never sent anywhere.
What happens before you choose depends on the country you are visiting from:
- Ask first in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Brazil, and whenever we cannot tell your country. Google Analytics sets no cookie until you press Accept; Decline keeps it off.
- Notice with opt-out everywhere else, including Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya. Google Analytics runs from the first page, the banner lists what is collected, and Turn off stops it.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a Decline in every country: Google Analytics stays off and the source of your visit is not kept.
You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer. Turning analytics off tells Google to stop, deletes the Google Analytics cookies on this site and clears the stored source of your visit. Your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker or Google's opt-out add-on work too.
| What | Why | How long | By whom | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<id>): pages viewed, events such as a tool being used, a random visitor ID, device and browser type, approximate location | To count visits and see which tools and pages are used | Cookies up to 2 years in your browser; reports per our Google Analytics data-retention setting | Your consent in opt-in regions; elsewhere our legitimate interest in running the site, with Turn off available | |
| Vercel Web Analytics: page views, referring site, country, device and browser type. No cookies and nothing stored on your device | Anonymous page counts and site performance | Aggregated, per Vercel's retention | Vercel | Legitimate interest; it does not identify you |
| Where you came from (owoode_src in local storage): referring site, campaign (UTM) tags, the first page you landed on and the date | To know which links bring people who then get in touch | On your device until you clear it or turn analytics off; sent only with a form you submit | Owoode, on your device | Consent in opt-in regions; elsewhere legitimate interest, with Turn off available |
| What you type into a form (email, message, application details), plus that source and your country, read from your IP address by our host | To answer you, send what you asked for, or process an application | Until it is no longer needed for that, or until you ask us to delete it; mailing-list addresses until you unsubscribe | Owoode, delivered by Telegram and by email via Resend | Your request (steps you asked us to take) and, for updates, your consent |
| Country cookie (cc): your two-letter country code | To pick the right consent mode and suggest your country's edition | 30 days | Owoode | Needed to apply the right privacy rules; no identifier in it |
| Your cookie choice (owoode.consent in local storage) | To remember your choice so the banner does not ask again | On your device until you clear it | Owoode, on your device | Strictly necessary to respect your choice |
Who processes data for us
These services handle personal data on our behalf, each under its own terms and privacy policy, and some of them process it outside your country, including in the United States:
- Vercel hosts the site, reads your country from your IP address for the cookie banner and forms, and runs Vercel Web Analytics.
- Google runs Google Analytics, subject to the consent rules above.
- Resend delivers form emails to us and holds the newsletter list.
- Telegram carries a copy of each form to our team.
- Polar, Bani and Paystack handle Pro payments, as described above.
Your rights by country
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent or turn analytics off at any time. Write to support@owoode.com; we may need to check it is really you before we act. The laws that apply, and who to complain to if you are not satisfied with our answer:
- European Economic Area: the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies. Regulator: the data protection authority in your country.
- United Kingdom: the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR. Regulator: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
- Switzerland: the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Regulator: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
- Nigeria: the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). Regulator: the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
- South Africa: the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Regulator: the Information Regulator.
- Kenya: the Data Protection Act 2019. Regulator: the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
- Brazil: the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). Regulator: the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD).
- California: the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA). Regulator: the California Privacy Protection Agency and the California Attorney General.
In California we do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
In Nigeria we process the small amount of personal data we hold under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, on the basis of your request when you submit a form and, for a Pro account, because we need it to provide what you paid for.
