Who can list in Japan, and how we check
Japan splits the work between two registers. JICPA's public search covers CPAs, associate CPAs, foreign CPAs and audit firms by registration number, name, category or prefecture, and its data was dated 2 November 2026 when we read it. Tax accountants (zeirishi) and tax corporations are found through the national federation's Find a Tax Accountant search instead. Send the registration number that applies to you and we check it in the right one.
- JICPAJapanese Institute of Certified Public AccountantsPublic register searchJICPA's public search shows registered CPAs and audit firms by registration number or name, so we ask for your registration number and check it there.
- JFCPTAAJapan Federation of Certified Public Tax Accountants' AssociationsPublic register searchThe federation's Find a Tax Accountant search covers zeirishi and tax corporations by name and office, so we check your name there.
