Who can list in Australia, and how we check
Three registers matter in Australia. Chartered accountants belong to CA ANZ, whose Find a CA search is not a full member list, so a missing name proves nothing; CPA Australia showed no public lookup we could find. For tax work the reference point is the Tax Practitioners Board's public register of tax agents and BAS agents, which anyone charging for that work must be on, so include your TPB registration number.
