How it works
- 01
Add your business and the client
Name, address, phone and email for both sides. Add your TIN so a corporate client can remit withholding tax in your name, and your CAC number so the invoice reads as a registered business.
- 02
List what you did or supplied
One line per item with quantity and unit price. Totals update as you type. Switch VAT on only if you are above the small-company threshold.
- 03
Add bank details and terms
Bank, account name and number print in a Pay to box with the invoice number as the transfer reference. Notes carry your payment terms.
- 04
Download, share or save
Download the PDF, share a summary on WhatsApp, or save the invoice to ereQa so it is tracked and matched to the payment.
What makes it different
Built for Nigerian rules
7.5% VAT as a toggle, a note when VAT is not charged, TIN and CAC fields, and naira formatting on every line.
Nothing leaves your browser
The PDF is generated on your device. Your details are remembered locally for the next invoice and never uploaded.
Deposit and balance
Enter the deposit already paid and the invoice shows total, deposit received and balance due, which ends collection-day arguments.
Questions people ask
- Is this invoice generator really free?
- Yes. Every invoice you make here is free, with no watermark and no sign-up. The PDF is built in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server.
- Should I charge VAT on my invoice?
- Only if your business is above the small-company threshold, ₦50 million turnover a year under the Tax Act, and the supply is not zero-rated. Below that, leave the VAT toggle off. The invoice then carries a note that no VAT was charged.
- Why does it ask for my TIN and CAC number?
- Companies that pay you must deduct withholding tax and remit it under your Tax Identification Number. Without your TIN on the invoice the credit cannot reach your tax account. The CAC registration number shows the client you are a registered business.
- Can I add my logo?
- Yes. Upload a PNG or JPG under the business details and it prints at the top of the PDF. It is stored on your device only, like the rest of your details.
- What is the difference between an invoice and a proforma?
- A proforma is a quotation: it asks for a deposit or approval before work begins and is not a demand for payment. An invoice is issued when the work is done or the goods delivered.
- What does Save to ereQa do?
- It moves the invoice into your ereQa books so it is tracked, matched to the payment when it lands, and ready for your accountant. That link is coming shortly; until then the button parks the invoice on this device and tells you when it is live.
- Can I send the invoice on WhatsApp?
- Yes. Download the PDF, then use Share on WhatsApp. It opens a chat to the client's number with the invoice summary already written, and you attach the PDF.
- Will this invoice work for NRS e-invoicing?
- It carries the fields an e-invoice needs: TIN for both parties, sequential number, itemised lines and VAT. Submission for an Invoice Reference Number happens through a connected system such as ereQa when your turnover tier goes live.
