What to get right on a printing press invoice
- Put paper weight, size and finish in the description. It is your defence when the client says 'this is not what I ordered'.
- Separate design from printing. Design is a 5% WHT service, printed goods are 2%.
- Note that proofs are approved by the client before printing, and that reprints after approval are charged.

Is printing VATable?
Printed commercial materials are standard-rated at 7.5% above the small-company threshold. Books are exempt.
Can I show a unit price in kobo?
Yes. The generator accepts decimals, so ₦18.50 per flyer works.
How do I invoice a large order with a deposit?
Proforma for 70% before printing, final invoice for the balance on delivery.
