The rules in Vietnam
- Overtime starts after 48 hours a week.
- Overtime starts after 8 hours a day.
- Limit: 40 hours a month, 200 a year.
- The rate applies to your normal gross hourly pay.

Worth knowing
Overtime at night is a three-part sum: the overtime rate, plus 30%, plus a further 20%. The 60-hour monthly allowance expired at the end of 2022.
