Writing amounts in words here
The currency is the lilangeni (plural emalangeni, written E), divided into 100 cents. The Central Bank of Eswatini, which has the sole right to issue notes and coins under the Central Bank Order 1974 as amended, issues notes of E10, E20, E50, E100 and E200 and coins of 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, E1, E2 and E5. The Bank's own page uses "lilangeni" for one unit and "emalangeni" for more.
The Bank prints the value on its notes in words as well as numbers. The South African rand is also legal tender at 1:1, so state the currency in words whenever a document could be read as either.
