The rules in Singapore Overtime starts after 44 hours a week. Overtime starts after 8 hours a day. Limit: 72 hours a month. The rate applies to your normal gross hourly pay. Set by Employment Act 1968 Part 4, ss. 35–38. Worth knowing
Part 4 covers workmen earning up to S$4,500 a month and other employees, excluding managers and executives, up to S$2,600. Most PMETs have no statutory overtime right at all.
