The Central Bank of Seychelles Act 2004 (section 17) fixes the unit of currency as the Seychelles rupee, divided into one hundred cents. An amount of SCR 1,250.50 is therefore written in words as the rupee amount followed by the cents, for example one thousand two hundred and fifty rupees and fifty cents.
