Price rules that affect your markup

Fuel is the main price-controlled good. Pump prices are not set by retailers: the Government approves them using an approved pricing formula, and the National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA) publishes them with an effective date at pra.gov.sl. The legal framework is the National Petroleum Act 2025, which repealed the Petroleum Regulatory Agency Act 2014. Check the NPRA's pricing page for the price in force.

For other goods, the Consumer Protection Act 2020 limits how you show a price. Section 63 bars advertising goods or services at a specified price if there are reasonable grounds to believe you cannot supply them at that price for a reasonable period and in reasonable quantities. Section 67 makes it an offence to sell goods that show more than one price at anything other than the lower or lowest displayed price.
