When a quote or proforma has legal weight
For a quote in Indonesia, the tax rule that matters is stamp duty (bea meterai) under Law 10/2020 on Stamp Duty. It is a tax on documents, including electronic ones, charged at a single rate of Rp10,000, and a document that states an amount is dutiable only if the amount is above Rp5,000,000. Duty can be paid with an electronic stamp (e-meterai), so a quote or contract sent as a PDF can be stamped without printing it.
