Ksh 7,500.00
Ksh 1,500.00 an hour
The rules in Kenya
- Overtime starts after 52 hours a week.
- Limit: 116 hours in two weeks.
- The rate applies to your normal gross hourly pay.
- Set by Regulation of Wages (General) Order, LN 120 of 1982, rr. 5–7.
Worth knowing
The rate is in subsidiary legislation, not in the Employment Act. The hourly rate is 1/225 of the basic minimum monthly wage. Night workers have a 60-hour week.
